Donald and Daisy

What do you think Daisy? It's kind of nice here.
Follow me!
Quack, quack, quack, quack!
Aaaw- Rosie's giving us kisses.
Hugs!!!

Donald and Daisy have experienced their first outing from the chicken run into the dog yard and been introduced to Rosie. At fist they stood by the fence crying out to the chickens. ( I believe they think the chickens are their babies and the chickens think the ducks are their moms . Often I will find the chickens huddled under the ducks like they would under a mother hen.)
The ducks slowly calmed down and began to explore the yard. When Rosie came out to meet them, they were afraid of her and she of them but they quickly began to adjust to each other.

Growth Journal- 8 weeks

I am fascinated by how much these guys have changed in 2 months time from little balls of fuzz into the characters they are becoming. Most of the fuzz has been replaced by beautiful feathers of all colors and each one is forming a very individual personality. They are now trying to determine their pecking order and that provides much entertainment.

Ewok?

Recently, a young pup found it's way to my home. It looked like an ewok, sooo that's what I called it.

I am happy to report that Ewok, now known as Jill, has found a new home where she is very happy.

Doesn't she look beautiful after her trip to the groomers!

This is her new roomate, One-eyed Jack ( he really does have only one eye).

Here they are-- Jack and Jill, another happy ending.
